February 6th- I got home from the hospital yesterday afternoon and was glad to be home! It was a good nights rest in Jim's recliner because the bed was too flat and uncomfortable. Today Stephanie, Ryan and my Mom are here. Stephanie washed my hair in the sink and I feel "human" again, that is a great feeling! I have enjoyed reading comments to my blog and want to say Thank You to everyone for their prayers and support.

Today I am really enjoying all of the sunshine coming through my windows, another good feeling of being home. I hope to get out this afternoon for a short walk in the drive way.

February 4

Hi there, this is Shannon writing on Mom's behalf. Mom had a BIG day today, starting with sitting up in the recliner first thing this morning. She had a steady stream of visitors today, heard the good news on her lymph nodes being free of cancer, had her IV pole removed (she is not taking pain medication orally), and got to visit with her mother. When Grandma Jean and I left her at 3:40 today she was zonked out. :-) All in all a very good day.

On Thursday she will have her wound vac removed and be released from the hospital. I'm sure she is anxious to be home in her own comfy chair and bed.

My first blog

Day 1 wasn't as bad as I thought, I guess they give you good meds! But after a long day of walking and visitors I am tired but thankful. I am "chilling out" like the nurse just said and watching The Biggest Loser with Shannon and Stephanie.

I am looking forward to a good night sleep and seeing what Day 2 will bring. By the way, this is my first blog!!
